國立成功大學(成大)為支持跨領域研究與學術發展,制定一系列明確的升遷制度,涵蓋教師與研究人員的職涯規劃,促進學術卓越與產學合作。
National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) has established an explicit promotion system to support interdisciplinary research and academic development. This system ensures career advancement for faculty and researchers while fostering academic excellence and industry-academia collaboration.

Faculty Promotion
NCKU’s Faculty Promotion System 1 clearly define the criteria for advancement from Assistant Professor to Professor, emphasizing diverse contributions in research, teaching, and service.
Faculty members can present interdisciplinary achievements aligned with their expertise as evidence for promotion, including but not limited to:
Interdisciplinary academic research and collaborative outputs
Teaching innovation and interdisciplinary pedagogy
Technology development and industry-academia collaboration
Artistic creation or sports achievements demonstrating cross-disciplinary excellence
Specialized policies include Promotion Guidelines for Scarce Technological Talent, Establishment of Distinguished Professorships, and Establishment of Chair Professorships.

Researcher Promotion
NCKU establishes clear career pathways for interdisciplinary researchers and industry-academia professionals through the Research Personnel Promotion Rules and Innovation Headquarters Regulations 2, and Core Facility Center Regulations 3.

為強化跨領域研究能量,成大透過延攬優秀人才及聘請兼任專家的策略,提供具競爭力的薪資及研究資源,鼓勵產研合作參與教學和研究。
為鼓勵教師積極參與教學創新與大學社會責任 4,成大推動教學模式改革、全英語授課及線上學習,,並導入跨領域教學與研究連結機制,強化跨學科合作、區域產學鏈結及社會影響力。

Talent Recruitment
To strengthen interdisciplinary research capacity, NCKU offers competitive salaries and research resources through its Outstanding Talent Recruitment and Adjunct Experts Hiring policies, encouraging industry and academic participation in teaching and research.
To promote faculty participation in teaching innovation and university social responsibility 4 , NCKU promotes reforms in teaching models, English-medium instruction, and online learning, while strengthening interdisciplinary teaching–research integration, interdisciplinary collaboration, and societal impact.
NCKU has established the K. T. Li Technology and Literature Lectureships Award 5 to support and recognize interdisciplinary research and innovation, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and enhancing research impact.

除正式升遷制度外,成大亦建立以成果認可為導向的推廣與呈現機制。成大透過校級宣傳平台、成果展示及活動敘事,呈現教師與研究員在學術研究、教學實踐、社會參與及公共影響等面向的貢獻,以支持教師或研究員後續職涯發展與升遷審查。
Diverse Career Pathways
Beyond formal promotion mechanisms, NCKU has established outcome-based recognition and dissemination practices. Through university-level communication platforms, achievement showcases, and narrative-based activities, NCKU presents faculty and researchers’ contributions in academic research, teaching practice, social engagement, and public impact, thereby supporting their subsequent career development and serving as important reference materials for future promotion reviews.

成大訂有跨領域研究中心的設立與管理的相關辦法。各學院訂定特定學科的教師升遷規定 6,以完善大學相關策略。
Research Centers & College-Level Policies
NCKU provides clear guidelines for establishing and managing interdisciplinary research centers. Each college also formulates discipline-specific faculty promotion regulations 6 to supplement university policies.
